Starpointe Communities flourishes in 2009

Despite national economic woes, builder having best first quarter in two years

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (March 24, 2009) – Starpointe Communities, Arizona’s largest and premier builder of condominium homes, is wrapping up a positive flurry of new home sales, all occurring in early 2009. Between their Aderra, Artesia, and Corriente communities, Starpointe sold 11 homes in the 10 days, which is the level of activity not being reported by builders on either the local or national scene.

With the plethora of dismal news on the economy and real estate market, Starpointe’s recent activity offers a hopeful peek into a stabilizing market. When compared to the same time period last year, Starpointe has seen increased traffic to each community, and buyers are more ready and willing to make a purchasing decision now than they have been in the last 18 months. Starpointe homes are frequently attractive to winter visitors who are seeking vacation homes, but recent sales have been to local residents who feel now is the time to buy.

Starpointe, a privately held, Scottsdale based builder, has been pulling out all stops to actively and creatively market their homes. While many other builders have been forced out of business, Starpointe has focused on creative, low cost marketing to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to the communities, and communicate pricing and incentives to their pool of interested buyers. In February, a builder auction was held at Starpointe’s Artesia project and an entire year’s worth of inventory was sold in one day.
