Starpointe Acquires Scottsdale Radisson Resort & Spa
Scottsdale, AZ—Starpointe Communities is pleased to announce the acquisition of the 44 acre Scottsdale Radisson Resort & Spa from Meristar Holdings.
Located just north of Scottsdale Road and Indian Bend, the 318 room luxury resort & spa includes a popular bar and lounge, over 22,000 square feet of restaurant, convention and meeting space, tennis courts and the renowned 19,000 square foot Mist Spa.
Starpointe appointed Interstate Hotels and Resorts as the management company to continue operations of the resort while they look into re-development of the site including retail, commercial and residential possibilities. The acquisition was financed by Ohio Savings Bank.
"We are thrilled to be the new owners of the Radisson Resort & Spa. It's a pivotal piece of property in Scottsdale and we will spend time looking at various possibilities for re-development while the resort continues to provide its guests with excellent service and amenities," says Robert A. Lyles, President of Starpointe Communities.
Starpointe is a Scottsdale based condominium and multi-family housing developer with a seven year history of providing exceptional value and quality to homeowners throughout the valley. To date, Starpointe has built over 1600 homes and have 800 in the planning stages.
The acquisition of this property will increase Starpointe's holdings in Scottsdale, which include two sold-out communities near the Radisson Resort, the 112 unit Traviata Condominiums and the 274 unit Sienna Condominiums. Starpointe has also reported that it is currently under contract to acquire the Holiday Inn Sunspree at 7601 E. Indian Bend Rd.
